Update

I know you really wanted to know, but the tadpoles have sprouted legs. Some of them still don't have them, but quite a few of them do. I guess I should have expected to have a few late bloomers when we have fifteen of them. I know I must be crazy to let my kids have them. We are going to get rid of them as soon as they are fully sprouted.

On a more interesting note, I have been trying to train Gavin on his sleeping habits. He has been waking up a couple times a night for a little while now. I have tried to let him just cry himself back to sleep, but with Scott's work schedule, it doesn't always work. Maybe that's why he's waking up too. Well, we started giving him cereal and he wakes up less often, but it's still an issue. I was really hoping this baby would sleep through the night sooner than the other two. I have fallen back on the old "don't let him fall asleep yet" method.

The other boys are so extremely active, and have so much energy, that I need to drink a pot of coffee every hour just to be able to catch them. If I want to keep up with them, we are talking some major changes in my caffeine intake. I should probably stop drinking so much coffee, but life requires it right now.

Jameson has learned the 23rd Psalm. He knows the whole thing, and only needs a little prompting. Teagen knows the first couple verses with prompting, but it's still adorable. Just picture a 2 1/2 yr old reciting the 23rd Psalm. We will continue to work on it. Next, is the Ten Commandments.

We are working on getting rid of a lot of toys. There is no need for my boys to have as many toys as they do. The have a really hard time picking them all up. If there are less, they may just get them picked up every day. We are keeping the legos to play with only at certain times. We're keeping the blocks, cars, trains, dinosaurs, and army guys. There will be no more toys from kids meals at fast food restaurants in my house.

We are working on potty training Teagen. Any hints or tricks you want to share would be helpful. He is perfectly content to be wet. I can't afford to buy diapers for two kids anymore, so this has to happen.

We just found out that a good friend of Scott's will be staying with us for a couple days at the end of the month. He is Scott's friend, not mine. Pray that we will all be able to get along.

We really like living in Florida. We have decided that we don't know if we would leave here. The only downfall is family. We would really like our families to be closer. I really miss all of you.

  1. I really love this blog stuff, even if its just you reading mine I think its awesome cause It lets me in a on little pieces of your life and vise versa. I am sure that it will be fine with Scott's friend and all. As far as hints or tricks, you can try the party potty method. I did it with James and it worked. Jacob helped me. You can get Jameson involved he will prob want to anyways..Jacob was interested right away in helping play the part. It goes like this. Have Teagen pick out his fav toy wheather it be a bear, doll, something along thoughs lines. Have diapers for the bear and get the little skirter you got after you gave birth to gavin to help heal faster. You will need totsie rolls and brown frosting. You will also need a really, really good treat for his potty training apprentice and him. You could do a accual party for the bear with ballons and streamers if you want go all out (I didnt need that) Start early in the morning. Have him help you put a diaper on his toy. Explain to him that his toy has been in its diaper for too long, and its time for you and him to teach his toy(bear..ect) to learn to be a big boy and go potty on the big boy potty. Tell him that you will have to wait for the "toy" to tell you that it has to go potty....play the roll. randomly after a while when he is in play or busy say" oh Teagen "toy"has to go potty should we go take him? have him help you take "toy"to the potty. Now the first time you do this I wouldnt have "toy" go. Say "opps, guess "toy"didnt have to go> let him go back to what ever he way doing...some minuets say "oh oh I think toy had a potty accident come here Teagen lets check him!" you cheak him (you have made the diaper wet) have him help you take the diaper off and tell him " opps, we need to teach "toy" were to go potty like a big boy>" bring "toy" to the potty and set him down...(this is a lot of work by the way but it worked for James) "Toy" does not go cause he already went..anyway to make it short you will do this through out the first part of the day and intergrade the "toy" accually going potty in the toilet as time goes on by using secretly the bottle from gavins birth or any bottle that you can easly hide for the potty sounds..its quite funny to see there little eyes light up when they see there "toy" going potty. Some were towards the mid of the day you will want to have "toy" have a poopy accident in his underware (yeah forgot to mention by the mid of hte day "toy" graduated to big boy underware because he was doing so good, and "toy" and Teagen got those tasty treats you bought cause they were doing so good) Use the totsie rolls and frosting..now this was the funnest part of all for me...that look on there faces...of the "toy" having a poopy accident...a look of "what?, huh? ewww" then you can ask him if he will help you take the poopy and put it were it belongs in the toliet. if not that is ok...James didnt want to touch it either...but after that at the end of the day he was going potty in the toilet..poop took till he was 3 and a half. Good luck playing pretend and I hope you have as much luck and fun as we did with this method. The book I got it from said to do it for a couple days in a row we lucked out only haveing to do it one day till he caught on. You will know by little signs, some of them were, a intrest in the toilet, as flushing it, watching Jameson pee, and taking diapers off cause of the wet feeling ect. Enjoy :-D excuse my spelling or writing i am not going to proof read cause its real early or late in the morn...Hubby has the day off and we are gaming and watching movies.
